MANGALDAI, May 24: Another feather has been added to the cap of Padmashree award recipient and eminent surgeon of international repute, Dr Sarbeswar Sahariah. The Times of India conferred him this year’s ‘Times Healthcare Achievers Award’. The Times of India group, for his outstanding contribution in the specialized field of medical sciences, recognized Dr Sahariah as the ‘Legend of the year 2018 in Renal Transplantation’. Currently Dr. Saharia is working as the vice-chairman of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hyderabad.
“I am on my visit to Assam. In my absence my daughter will formally receive the award. I consider the recognition by the Times of India group, which was first introduced five years back, as very meaningful and encouraging for my career in the field of Medical Science,” said Dr Saharia to The Sentinel on being contacted over phone to know his reaction.
