BONGAIGAON, May 7: Two poachers of Tokay gecko (keko saap) were bbed on Thurday by Bongaigaon district police. Imdad Ali, Additiol SP of Bongaigaon, said that the two poachers were bbed from an abandoned house in Bamunitila area under Bidyapur police outpost of Bongaigaon district following previous information. “The two poachers have been identified as Pranjit Sarma, a resident of Gandhigar area in Barpeta district and Jitu Das of Sarbhog in Barpeta district. A Tokay gecko has also been recovered. We have started investigation.” Tokay gecko poaching has been going on in this region since a long time.
