Toko Yame murder case

Toko Yame murder case

A CORRESPONDENT

ITANAGAR, Jul 18: The All East Kameng District Students Union (AEKDSU) in a reminder letter to the Chief Minister Pema Khandu has sought immediate suspension of the erring police personals who were on PCR duty on the day of murder of Late Toko Yame at Tawang. The Union stated that if no disciplinary action is taken by the State Government within one week it will launch a democratic movement against the department concerned. Despite repeated submission of the demand for suspension of the personnel to the superintendent of police (Crime/SIT) thrice and DIG, they have failed to take action. The Union apprehends that if the personnel are not suspended, there might be tampering of evidence. The late Toko Yame murder case has been earlier transferred from SIT to the CBI after repeated demonstrations and demands from students and people of the state. Nine months have passed and we would like to know what disciplinary action has been taken so far?
