Top KLO leaders bbed by security forces in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, May 31: Top leaders of the Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) were apprehended by a joint team of the Army and Kokrajhar Police on Tuesday in different places.

The militants who were apprehended were identified as Mridul Ray (25) of Chandrapara under Kokrajhar police station, who is from the 38th batch of the outfit trained in Mynmar and was looking after the area as area commander. Other arrested cadres of the outfit are-Dhanjay Ray alias Dhorkha (27) of Barsijhora under Dotma police station, Kak Ray (22) of Chandrapara and Konujeet Ray (19) of Chandrapara, both under Kokrajhar police station.

Dhanjay Ray was the second-in-command of Mridul Ray. He also from 38th batch of the outfit and was deputy area commander of Kokrajhar while both Kak Ray and Konujeet Ray were locally trained cadres. The joint team recovered one 9 mm pistol, two 7.65 mm pistols, one country-made pistol, three hand gredes and other incrimiting documents.
