Top Maoist rebel bbed in Hojai

GAON, Sept 22: The police of Kaki police station, on the basis of intelligence input, apprehended a Maoist from Kaki Jabrakhuwa Manjupathar area on Monday night when he was taking shelter in a house. According to the sources, the Maoist has been identified as Khirud Gogoi alias Khagen Bora alias Kiran Bora (33) of Guijan in Tinsukia district and he is the son of Sarukanta Gogoi of Guijan. Sources stated further that Khirud Gogoi alias Khagen Bora had been working for the Maoist group in greater Kaki areas since 2013 and Monday night the police picked him up when he was taking shelter in the house of Nitul Bora of Kaki Jabrakhuwa Manjupathar area. The police have started interrogation.
