Top NDFB(S) rebels bbed

Chirang, Aug 28: Based on specific input from Military Intelligence, the Indian Army along with Assam Police launched an operation in  Chirang district in the late afternoon on  Thursday. The swift and effective operation resulted in the apprehension of a hardcore tiol Democratic Front of Bodoland(Songbijit) terrorist, who is the assistant fincial secretary NDFB(S) and a very important member of the newly formed Central Committee. He was identified as Swamla Basumatary alias Sohitab, 30 yrs old, resident of Kokrajhar. A Pistol and some ammunition was recovered from him. The terrorist is 34 batch trained from Myanmar in 2010 and was responsible for the Adivasis massacre in Dec 2014. He was moving in the Bedai group since December 2014.
