Top Seed players crash out in the singles quarterfinals of the ongoing U-14 AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament

GUWAHATI: Top seed Anshumannath Deepaknath, second seed Ved Aditya Kalita and third seed Antariksh Tamuly have crashed out in the singles quarterfinals with their respective opponents in the ongoing U-14 AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament at Chachal Tennis Complex today. In the girls singles, semifinals Namrata Das of Assam ousted state mate Nayanika Deka in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Unseeded Tania Kumari of Assam caused a major upset in the other semifinal by defeating Sumeira Jaishwal of West Bengal in three gruelling sets 6-7(2), 6-2, 6-2.
