Torchlight Rally Against Citizenship (Amendment) Bill

GORESWAR: In protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, the Silkijhar Anchalik unit of Kalita Janagosthi Sanmilon and Kalita Janagosthi Students’ Union took out a torchlight rally at Silkijhar.

DEMOW: Under the patronage of the people of Dehajan, Dekhari Tinali, Bhalukaguri, Chakalia, Naharani, Sepon, Kharahat, Athabari, Ahompathar, Bagalipathar, Nitaipukhuri, Udaipur, Jamuguri, Laguwabari and Pathar Gharbhashi, a torchlight rally was taken out in Demow Chariali on Monday evening in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016. The people shouted various slogans against the BJP government and they strongly opposed the Bill.
