Torchlight rally against Rameswar Teli in Margehrita

MARGHERITA, March 31: All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU) Tinsukia District Committee and Margherita Regiol Committee, All Assam Hindu Students’ Union, Tinsukia District Committee and Margherita Regiol Committee jointly took out a torchlight rally in Margherita on Thursday where more than 100 activists of both the student bodies were present.

Milan Buragohain, president of All Tai Ahom Students’ Union, Tinsukia District Committee, Lalan Sahani, secretary of All Assam Hindu Students’ Union, Tinsukia District Committee and other leaders were present at the torchlight rally. Milan Buragohain, president of ATASU Tinsukia District Committee, said that Dibrugarh MP  Rameswar Teli had few days ago allegedly made commul comments about the greater Assamese society.

“We warned the MP to apologize publicly but till today he has not done so. If Teli does not apologize then we will intensify our agitation,” said Buragohain.
