Torchlight rally by ABSU

From a Correspondent
TEZPUR, March 14: In support of the ongoing indefinite hunger strike in Kokrajhar to demand immediate creation of separate Bodoland state, ensuring political right to the Bodos living outside the proposed Bodoland, besides other long-pending issues, the Sonitpur district ABSU, NDFB (P) and PJACBM jointly took out a torchlight rally on Monday at Dhekiajuli town.  The three-hour long torch rally was participated by about 1,000 protesters. Lamenting the
government’s  lackadaisical attitude towards the Bodo issues, the protesters said that the government was not giving any importance to the movement. Tapan Boro, an ABSU worker, said that until and unless Bodoland was created, the Bodos would not rest.
