The protesters demanded the publication of the ga Framework Agreement signed between NSCN (I-M) and the Government of India. Shankar Jyoti Baruah, general secretary, AASU Dibrugarh unit said that AASU would not tolerate any loss of Assam land in the me of the ga framework agreement and warned that if the government made any compromise with the territorial integrity and the rights of the indigenous people of Assam, they would resort to strong protest against it. The people of mrup voluntarily took part in the rally and demanded immediate disclosure of the agreement.
