Tortoises recovered

Golaghat, November 3:  Jamuguri Police recovered three tortoises from two  fishermen  at Jamuguri Barpathar -beel on Tuesday.

Police sources said that after getting information, Jamuguri police caught two persons with three tortoises which they were trying to sell. The two persons have been identified as  Bachan Chahani and Modan Chahani, residents of Barpathar -beel area. They caught three tortoises while fishing in the beel. Later police handed over the tortoises to the Forest Department.
