Total breakdown of BSNL services in Tinsukia

Doomdooma, Sept 18: The BSNL mobile and GPRS services which have caused untold miseries to customers due to frequent cable cuts by Reliance Jio’s cable laying operation in this region during past two months, has been totally out of service since last Friday. Reportedly, it is because of card damage in Tinsukia and Doomdooma exchanges. Things are unlikely to be restored within next twenty four hours as the cards sent from Kolkata were yet to be received by the BSNL authorities here. Besides, negligence of local officers and the callous attitude of high-ups in BSNL has raised many a eye-brows. Considering widespread discontent against BSNL services, there has been public demand for a thorough enquiry with regard to its departmental performance.
