Total sanitation achieved

SHILLONG, Aug 12: The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills district on Wednesday informed that the combined Jaintia Hills district has achieved the Prime Minister’s dream of having 100% toilets in SSA run Schools. The four agencies: the State PHE Department, Meghalaya Government Construction Company (MGCC), Meghalaya Electricity Corporation Ltd (MeECL), Mahindra Private Limited has constructed altogether 1700 toilets in the Jaintia Hills District. The Target was completed before the deadline of Aug 10, 2015.
