Bongaigaon, Oct 11: The 15-day long tour programme for students organized by 7th Sikh Li Regiment of Red Horn division of Indian Army concluded on Tuesday. An army official said that the Indian Army organized this tour under the tiol unity programme where total 20 students with teacher had been sent for tour. “The tour started on September 25 and was flagged off by P S Bahal, Major General of Indian Army, in Guwahati. During the tour, the team called on Ramth Kovind, the President of India. Later, they visited several historical places of Delhi and Rajasthan. They also called on Army chief Bipin Rawat. The team arrived in Chirang on Monday where they were given a warm welcome by Ratul Baruah, Chirang Deputy Commissioner, Bedanta Barkakoty, Additiol SP, Chirang, and Bishal Choudhury, Commandant, Indian Army. The students were given certificates here,” the Army official said.
