Trader escapes from abductors clutch

SHILLONG, Jan 19: As the East Garo Hills SWAT intensified operation in Gabil Ading village of East Garo Hills on Tuesday morning, one of the seven traders who were abducted from Krishi maged to escape. It may be mentioned that following specific intelligence inputs, the SWAT commandos on Tuesday carried out operation in the village.

However the sentry spotted the police and maged to flee.  The trader who escaped from the clutch of abductors has been identified as Tustu Mohan Paul (50) of Daranggre in Goalpara. The fate of other six traders is still unknown.
