Traditiol dress competition held at DHSK College

Dibrugarh, February 1: Anesha Burhagohain and Ritupar Rajkonwar clinched Mr and Miss Kanoian title at the recently concluded traditiol dress competition held at DHSK College recently on the occasion of the 70th annual college week.

Mayur Dutta and Angshuman Das bagged second and third position in male traditiol dress competition while Jenifa Gogoi and Lotushree won second and third position in the female category. Puja Boruah and Kaushik Bordoloi were declared winners in ‘Best Walk’ section. Hradeep Talukdar was awarded the best persolity award. Altogether 10 male students and 31 female students of the college participated in the event.

The winners were selected after four intense rounds of screening. Bibek Borgohain, maging director of Brahmaputra Production and Lulu Mariam Borgohain, Assistant Professor, Department of English DHSK College graced the occasion as esteemed jury of the event.

The event organized by Priti Kalita, Cultural and Debating Secretary of DHSK College Students’ Union, was anchored by Debashree Khanikar and Arup Sonowal. The event was iugurated by Dr Bharati Dutta who delivered a speech on Gandhi Philosophy of Life. Dr Dutta also recited a self-composed poem.

Principal Dr Sashikanta Saikia conferred the winning crowns to the winners.
