Traditiol heads set deadline for CM over VAB

Shillong, Nov 18: Traditiol heads under the banner of the Synjuk ki Nongsynshar Shnong ka Bri U Hynniewtrep (SNSBH) has set the state government a deadline till December first week to invite them for talks over the Village Administration Bill (VAB), which is waiting for assent from the Governor.
This decision was taken at the general body meeting of the SNSBH held on Saturday at the Lum Pyllon Dorbar hall, Jaiaw Shyiap.
Speaking to reporters, President of the SNSBH Warlock Kharshiing said the meeting attended by headmen from the city and outskirts including representatives from Jaintia Hills discussed the issues pertaining to the VAB.
“We have taken the resolution to seek appointment with the state government and the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma to discuss about the delay in giving approval to the VAB and also meet the CEM KHADC in this matter,” he said.
“We will also remind the CM of the meeting held on August 31, 2016 where it was resolved that a meeting should be convene where representatives from the state government, District Council and the SNSBH will sit together to decide how to proceed in this matter,” he said.
