Traffic rule violators attack police

Boko, Feb  25: A group of hooligans allegedly attacked police officers on duty to control the traffic at Boko Bazaar when they caught the driver of an auto van without any valid papers of the vehicle and driver license. In this attack, three police officers were injured. They are Ramesh Sarma (SI), Bhoges Chandra Deori (SI) and Chittaranjan Bora (SI), all are from Boko Police Station. Due to traffic congestion in Boko Bazaar and traffic rules being flouted by commercial vehicles and motorcyclists, the people had appealed to the Circle Officer on February 2 to take measures to control the traffic and ensure that traffic rules were obeyed strictly.  After receiving the application, the Circle Officer of Boko revenue circle instructed the Boko Police Station on February 8 to maintain the traffic.
