Traffic srls in gaon irk residents

From a Correspondent

GAON (HAIBORGAON), Feb 13: gaon police as well as gaon municipality board have allegedly failed to control traffic congestion in gaon town. Even the public representatives of the district are allegedly quite indifferent towards the problem of traffic congestion, especially from Panigaon Chariali of the town to Nowgong College police point from 8.30 am to 6 pm.

According to people of the town, this traffic problem is due to some illegal auto-rickshaw stands and bus stands controlled by close relatives or associates of some political leaders. Interestingly, within 1.5 km distance there are around 13 such stands which allegedly block the main road of central gaon town for hours and created havoc for pedestrians, school students and office goers.

This was allegedly intimated to the heads of the departments concerned but both allegedly pushed the matter to each other. On the other hand, public representatives of the district allegedly simply rang up the Deputy Commissioner or Traffic Branch of gaon police or the Superintendent of police and requested them to control the traffic congestion.

As a result of this lackadaisical attitude, the problem has compounded. Conscious people and senior citizens have now appealed for the Chief Minister’s intervention into the traffic problem.
