Training for police officers

GUWAHATI, August 18: tiol Law University (NLU) is going to organize a two-day training programme for police officers on major Child Protection Laws from August 21 to 22 on the university premises at Ulubari of the city. The training programme will be iugurated by Director General of Police Khagen Sarma. The organizer of the programme, Vijay P Tiwari said: "The position of children laws in practice in the State is very pathetic. The police officers also do not know how to handle children during their trials. We, therefore, are organizing the training to train and help the police officers to handle juveniles. Altogether 70 police officers will attend the training from the State. The trainer will be from Delhi.”
