Training for polling personnel in Chirang

KOKRAJHAR, April 8: The training for all polling personnel for 31- Sidli (ST) LAC was held at Dhaligaon High School and Kajalgaon High School from April 1 to 7. Sources said altogether 1224 polling personnel were imparted training by 27 master trainers on the role and responsibilities of them at the polling centres including hands on training on EVM.  In the training, the master trainers asked the polling officials to work as team to do their duty well which the Chirang DEO has entrusted.  The master trainers also reminded them to be very careful in giving reports and conduct mock polls compulsory. The master trainers also spoke on how to use the EVMs and SMS based poll day monitoring system with the help of their mobiles. The polling officials were also informed that the polling materials and EVMs will be distributed from UN Brahma College of Kajalgaon on April 10 from 7am. Further, the Chirang DEO has set up a Special Training Counter with six master trainers headed by Assistant Commissioner Jitu Kr. Barman as in charge to provide last minute training at DC’s office and UN Brahma College at Kajalgaon from April 8 to 10.
