Training for SHG bank linkage

lbari, March 13: The Patacharkuchi branch of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank organized day-long training-cum-SHG Bank linking programme on Thursday at Barbhaluki Balipara Gaon Pachayat. A total of 94 participants from twenty six SHGs attended the training programme. The programme was sponsored by BARD. While iugurating the programme, BARD DDM Bhaskar Manta described the concept of SHGs and role played by them in the small savings and micro credit sector.

  Prasanta Bujar Barua, Regiol Mager, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, elaborated on the procedures of bank lige and assured that no genuine SHG will be deprived from bank linkage from AGV Bank. He requested the SHGs to utilize the loans for production and micro credit.

Apurba Chakavorty of Bajali Development Block gave a detailed presentation on the NRLM concept and government guidelines of SHG bank linkage. AGV bank senior mager Gautam Dutta welcomed the participants and resource persons while assistant mager Manoj Kumar Das offered the vote of thanks at the end of programme.  At the end of the programme, loan sanction letters were distributed to sixteen SHGs. The letters were distributed by Kushlal Deka, president of Barbhaluki Balipara GP and other dignitaries present in the programme.
