DHUBRI, Aug 11: Training of officials organized by Dhubri district Sarba Siksha Abhijan (SSA) for third phase Guutsav was held on Thursday to evaluate the status of education in primary and middle English schools in the state. The training programmes for 120 gazetted officers  simultaneously were held at SSA and Dhubri Girls’ Higher Secondary School auditoriums  while next training programme for rest of the officers would be held at Dhubri on August 17 and 18 and at Bilasipara on August 19.

Third phase Guutsav programme will be held for four days commencing from November 6. It will cover 13 districts of Assam including Dhubri and South Salmara-Mancachar districts. Dhubri district information and public relation officer, Bikash Sarma informed that in order to evaluate the status of 2282 primary and middle schools up to standard VIII, altogether, 840 gazetted officers would be required.

“Since the required number of officers are not available in Dhubri district, so they will be brought from Kokrajhar and Bongaigaon districts and will be trained here. Similarly, 271 officers from Dhubri district will also join Guutsav programme in Kokrajhar district to evaluate the status of education which will be held from September 19 to September 22,” Sarma added. An official source conducting the training informed that Guutsav was launched from this year in the Assam on line of Gujarat model adopted by Prime Minister, rendra Modi when he was the Chief Minister of that state.
