Training on Preparation & Updation of Hospital Disaster Magement Plan

SHILLONG, Dec 9: The District Disaster Magement Authority,(DDMA), Nongstoin in collaboration with Tirot Sing Memorial Civil Hospital conducted a one-day training programme on Preparation and Updation of Hospital Disaster Magement Plan, Search & Rescue  and Hospital Mock Drill  at Tirot Sing Memorial Civil Hospital, Mairang  on 8th December 2016 for the medical responders, hospital incident response teams . Dr. L. L. Mawi, Medical Superintendent, Tirot Sing Memorial Civil Hospital, Mairang iugurated the programme.

In her address, Dr. Mawi said that disasters have an uncanny ability to bring to the forefront vulnerabilities of systems, structures, processes and people which in turn cause large scale damages; and hospitals are no exception to this rule.
