Training on sustaible rural livelihood conducted

Itagar, Nov 3: A three-day long on-location training programme on ‘Sustaible Rural Livelihood’ was conducted by Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD)of Lucknow, , for branch magers and senior officers of Aruchal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank here from October 30 to November 1.

BIRD was established in 1983 by BARD.

The programme covered contents on sustaible livelihood approach, livelihood promotion models, institutions and innovations promoting peoples’ institutions for livelihood, objectives, approaches and key features of NRLM, concept and approaches of producers’ organizations, loan appraisal concept and techniques, etc an official release stated here on Friday.

A field visit to some livelihood units of handicraft, dairy and poultry units in Papum Pare district was also undertaken.
