Training programme for poll officials held

ABHAYAPURI, 20: Training programme for the officials on poll duty of Assam Assembly Elections was held at three different venues of Abhayapuri, mely, Srijangram High School at Borghola, JNM Girls’ High School at Boitamari and Abhayapuri College in Abhayapuri. The Master trainers along with the Grade III/Grade IV staffs were detailed to train the polling persons involved in the poll duty. The Master trainers trained them regarding various steps that should be taken for smooth functioning of the poll duty. The training involved how the voter’s details will be verified when he will be casting his vote, proper handling of EVM machines, use and verification of other materials, stationeries etc to be used in the polling stations. The trainees in all the three centers are about in Srijangram High School-140, JNM Girls’ High School, Boitamari-280 and Abhayapuri College-480, a total of 900 trainees were trained at these centres with proper technical facilities.
