Training programme for street vendors

MORIGAON, Dec 22: Under the aegis of Assam State Livelihood Mission Society, DAY-NULM, a one-day training programme for street vendors on health and hygiene was organized by City Mission Magement Unit, Morigaon, DAY-NULM at the Morigaon Municipal Board on Thursday.

Attending as the resource person, Hemanta Bora, HE, Kapahera State Dispensary, Morigaon spoke about how street vendors could be benefited from the various health schemes provided by both the Central and State  governments.

Earlier, the training programme was iugurated by Dipali Kakaty, City Project Mager (SD&I), ASULM, Morigaon. The training programme was  attended by Ranjit Deka, vice-chairperson and chairman as in-charge of MMB, and Debajit  Das, CPM, ASULM, Morigaon. Total 372 vendors took part in the programme.
