Training programme for women kicks off

KOKRAJHAR, September 20: The NTPC, Bongaigaon, under the aegis of Bardwi Sikhla Ladies Club, as a CSR initiative kick-started a training programme for beautician, stitching and sewing. Around 20 women have enrolled for the Beautician course and 20 for the stitching and sewing course. Utpal Chakrabarti, Group General Mager, NTPC Bongaigaon during the iuguration said that such kind of training woulod empower the local women to come forward and be self-dependent. The duration for the Beautician course and stitching and sewing course will be of 45 days and 90 days respectively. The training will be conducted in collaboration with SEWA, Mirzapur. Senior officials of NTPC, chairman of Ivandari VCDC and senior members from Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club were also present on the occasion.
