Training programme held

DIBRUGARH, Jan20: A one-day training programme on comprehensive evaluation of primary level education system was iugurated at the training hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Thursday.  The training which was formally iugurated by Deputy Commissioner in charge, Hemanta Kumar Das, was held as part of Gumahotsav, 2017.

The said training workshop was held for 688 evaluators.  

Addressing the workshop, Hemanta Kumar Das, stated that for upgrading the primary level education system, the scheme which has been adopted by the State Government will benefit the students and raise the value of education, strengthen the educatiol infrastructure of schools and bring to light the various directions of the relationship of teachers with students and their parents.

Das further said that based on these aspects, the Government can take up the next step to promote the level of primary education in the District.

The iugural meeting was attended amongst others by Additiol Commissioner (Education) Ankur Bharali.

Under Gumahotsav 2017, which is a scheme adopted by the State Government for comprehensive evaluation of primary education system in all Government, Provincial and Tea Garden Schools, the primary education department has selected eight districts of the State for first phase of comprehensive evaluation of primary education of schools on March 20 to 23.

As such, students till Class 8 level of 1905 number of schools of the District will be covered under the scheme.

The 644 evaluators, who were present in the one day training workshop on Thursday, were given training on how the program of evaluation of education system would be duly executed in the coming days.
