Training programme on better land use and disaster magement held

Doomdooma, March 20: A series of training programmes was held for 33 Village Land Magement and Conservation Committees (VLMCCs) on preparation of better land use, master plan and disaster magement measures which will gradually cover a total of 378 such committees phase-wise.

The training programme, which was held simultaneously at Doomdooma Revenue Circle and - Barmurah Gaon Panchayat office in the first phase, was iugurated by Additiol Deputy Commissioner-cum-Circle Officer in charge, Doomdooma Revenue Circle, Prab Kumar Borah and Junior Engineers, Sukumar Sarma, ba Bora, and Poran Gohain of Saikhowa, Hapjan and Kakapather Development blocks respectively. bin Sonowal, Irrigation Department and Nirod Deka, Doomdooma Town Committee conducted these programmes. The rest of the programmes will be held phase-wise in Block Development Offices (BDO) of Saikhowa, Haphan and Kakapather and in the Gaon Panchayat (GP) offices of Arhoimuria, Megela, Talap, Kordoiguri, Bandarkhati, Maithong and Gabharubheti till March 23, according to ADC P K Bora.
