Training programme on ‘mission unite’ held

AMPATI, June 16: The Chief Election Officer has mandated the appointment of Nodal teachers in every school to create awareness on the electoral process and facilitate the enrollment of left out eligible voters.

This was informed by South West Garo Hills EAC, M R Marak at the training for nodal teachers and Booth Level Officers (BLO) at Ampati.

The training on ‘Mission Unite’ themed ‘U n I towards enrollment’ was organized by the Deputy Commissioner (Election) and stressed on enrollment of all left out eligible electors of the district.   

Speaking on the importance of maximum participation by election officials to achieve the desired results, EAC M R Marak said that the exercise was to train concerned officials to minimize the deficit of eligible electors in the Electoral Rolls of the district.

He lauded the efforts of EAC & AERO 55 Salmanpara (ST) Assembly Constituency F Boro for her efforts in maging to minimize the deficit in enrollment of eligible voters in her area. Marak later led the gathering in the taking of pledge by election officials.

During the training programme various resource persons, including ASE, S. Bai familiarized the trainees with registration procedures and forms.
