Training programme on multiple disabilities held

TANGLA, May 1: A one-day training programme on multiple disabilities specially aimed to examine some of the key issues faced when working with people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, was held at Chatgari MV School premises at Tangla recently.

The programme was organized by Aarohan Rehabilitation and Training Institute (ARTI). The programme saw the presence of more than 100 participants, including IERP, D Stalion, NE Co-orditor of NIEPMD from Cheni, Aulad Hussain, Bhanita Devi of SSA Udalguri, Mantu Kalita and Jayanta Kalita of IERP Kamrup (R) as resource persons.

The main topics addressed in the programme were disability causes, prevention, early detection ,magement and rehabilitation with the help of government schemes for the disabled and classroom magement for disabled students.
