Itagar, Jan 13: The All Aruchal Pradesh PDS Transporter Welfare Association (AAPPDSTWA) on Tuesday appealed state Governor J P Rajkhowa not to issue notification to the fince department summoning payment release of the Public Distribution System (PDS).

“The entire state is depending on PDS and as the state government is going through a political crisis, stopping of payment towards the genuine PDS contractors is directly affecting the poor people of the state who are completely depending on the same,” said AAPPDSTWA Chairman, Bengia said in a statement here today.

Urging the governor not to entertain the border students union and Save Aruchal Youth Association, Bengia added that it is because of the governor’s support the associations and unions with high head are proceeding regularly to meet him (governor) but when a genuine association like AAPPDSTWA tries to meet him with genuine grievances he denies a meeting.

Proclaiming that association is still demanding for the 2013-14 Sumitra Report payment, Bengia also declared that the state government has still not released the same and the governor should stop interfering in it as well or they would boycott the whole contract process of PDS in the entire districts of the state.
