Travel bill: Pyniaid slams KHADC chief

FROM A REPORTER
SHILLONG, July 4: HSPDP MDC of Sohryngkham constituency Pyniaid Sing Syiem today said that the acknowledgement of the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Pynshngain N Syiem is like digging his own grave for stating that the trips to Delhi were made to meet V. rayasamy, Secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge Meghalaya. The strong reaction from Pyniaid came after Syiem clarified in the papers that their visit to Delhi on May 26 was to meet the AICC leader to protest against the lack of seriousness of the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma, to send the Village Administrative Bill (VAB) to the Governor of Meghalaya. Speaking to newsmen here on Monday, Pyniaid expressed shock at the stamen that the CEM and the EM in-charge Fince Antonio War met the leader of AICC to complain against Chief Minister Sangma on his lack of seriousness on the VAB despite the fact that the People Democratic Forum (PDF) on May 30, 2015 the Grand Dorbar was held at Polo approved the Bill. “The statement made by the KHADC chief that he went to Delhi to meet leaders of AICC is baseless since he went to Delhi for party works at the expense of KHADC,” he said.
