Treat ture as God, plant trees: Jadav Payeng

GAON (HAIBORGAON), May 2: “India will be endangered within few years as the climate of the country is slowly going to change due to swift deforestation and illegal forest covering in the country, for which along with Assam, the entire country will face drought soon,” said Assam’s Forest Man Jadav Payeng during the iuguration of Okiwa Resort and Botanical Park near gaon Uriagaon bypass road on Sunday. Payeng urged the people of the State to treat ture as God. He added that trees provided oxygen. “If the cutting ratio of trees will remain same, within few years there will be no more oxygen for living beings,” Payeng added. He even appealed to the people to plant minimum one tree on the very first day of school of their children. Payeng praised the initiatives taken by the owner of the resort, Gauri Kamal Bora who planned for a diverse botanical park in the campus of the resort and hoped that such type of initiatives would save the world.
