Tremor felt in State

SHILLONG, Aug 24: A moderate earthquake rocked the state today. However, there were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage from anywhere in the state. The quake which was felt at around 4.04 pm triggered panic in city and people came out to the streets when most of them were busy in their respective offices. The quake shook buildings in the state capital, Shillong. Earlier, on Tuesday morning at around 7.41 am, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake with its epicenter along Myanmar-India border rocked the region. However no damages were reported.
