Triangular contest likely in Baganpara

lbari, April 6: The BTC poll in 25 no Baganpara constituency under Barama LAC is likely to witness a tough contest between PCDR, BPF and BJP candidates this time. As many as seven candidates will contest from this seat, but three candidates are prominent among them. They are Kati Ram Baro from PCDR, Bamali Baro from BJP and Phulendra th Baro from BPF. Bamali Baro, the former executive member from Baganpara, was the president of BPF Mushalpur district BPF party. But he is contesting with a BJP ticket this time as he was denied a ticket from BPF.  He is trying hard to win from this seat again. He is facing a tough challenge from BPF candidate Phulendra Basumatary. But Baro has the support of a large number of BJP workers and many BPF members as well. Katiram  Baro, the PCDR candidate, has strong hold in the grassroots level as he was the district ABSU leader in Baksa. He is confident that the Bodo people will vote for him.
