Tribal body awaiting Gauhati HC's verdict

KOKRAJHAR, June 2: Tribal body-Bodoland Jajati Suraksah Manch (BJSM) on Friday strongly condemned MP ba Kumar Sarania alias Hira Sarania for his relentless anti Bodo activities who is issuing threatening statements against the Bodo community and Bodoland tribal institutions. In a press statement issued by the working president of BJSM-DD rzary and general secretary Jayanta Boro said that MP-ba Kumar Sarania, a dreaded ULFA leader belonging to a pure general caste Sarania community, has become MP in Kokrajhar ST reserved constituency under the disguise of Boro Kachari ST community fraudulently and actively working against the Boro people of the constituency.

The leaders of the BJSM said the hearing of an Election Petition filed against his election as MP in the Kokrajhar ST (Reserved) constituency in the case No. EP 3/2014 dt.26/6/2014 was completed before Bihu festival on April 6, 2017 by the court of Election Tribul in the Gauhati High Court. The tribal people of the constituency are eagerly waiting the court’s order to get rid of his anti tribal activities to meet the end of justice and to get safeguard of constitutiol mandate for scheduled tribe communities for whom it is mandated.

rzary appealed the tribal people not to be overwhelming while delaying verdict over the fake ST certificate row as law will take its own course. He also hoped that the High Court will bring the verdict as soon as possible and justice would be given to the tribal people.
