Tribute paid to Bhupenda in Dhekiajuli

DHEKIAJULI, Nov 5: A day-long programme  for observing the fourth death anniversary of   Dr Bhupen Hazarika  was observed at Dhekiajuli  Boys’ High School Auditorium. In the morning, the day-long programme was started with Prabhat Ferry in presence of   Ramesh Borah, Dhruba Borah, Jadab th, Rupjyoti Patangiya and Kabindra Das, headed by the Headmistress of Dhekiajuli Boys’ High School, Rekha  Mahanta Lahakar. Students, teachers and members of the Senior Citizen’s Association took part in the programme. A Bhupen Sangeet competition was held among the students. Ramesh Borah, the president of Dhekiajuli Sahitya Sabha presided over the meeting. Phanidra Kalita  explained the purpose of the meeting. Noted artist rendra Haloi and former AJYCP president Apurba Bhattacharya explained the diverse life activities of legendary Bhupenda  by singing his famous songs.
