Tribute paid to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam

Lakhimpur, August 2 : A condolence meeting was organized on Sunday  at Lakhimpur Kalaniketon to pay tribute to the Missile Man, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

The Principal of Lakhimpur Kalaniketon, Chandra Kamal Gogoi spoke about Dr Kalam’s  versatility and great contribution to the country in various fields.  Recalling the past, Gogoi said that being a former student of Kolkata Shantinikaton, he had gone there three years back but he had been disturbed to see the degrading condition of the Shantiniketon for which he wrote a letter to the President of India and he was surprised to receive an instant response from Dr Kalam. The meeting further discussed about humanity and Dr Kalam as an extraordiry man with human qualities.
