Tribute paid to eminent artist Tarun Haloi

BONGAIGAON, October 29: Rich tribute was paid to eminent artist Tarun Haloi. Assam Krishti Bikash Sangha, Bongaigaon, observed completion of one month of the demise of Tarun Haloi, an eminent artist who had been awarded by the Society of Art and Culture of Bombay and also tiol-level veteran athlete.

On this occasion, a tribute-paying meeting was organized at the residence of Tarun Haloi where several noted persons of the area, including Nur Muhammad, Gopeswar Talukdar, Apurba Goswami and many others were present. An obituary souvenir titled Shraddhanjali was released.  Nur Muhammad said that the demise of Tarun Haloi was a loss to the sports and cultural world of Assam.
