Tribute paid to slain ABMSU president

MARGHERITA, Aug 3: All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad Margherita subdivision committee and Margherita Regiol Committee, All Assam Adivasi Students’ Association Margherita Regiol Committee and local people of Margherita on Thursday paid tribute by lighting candles at Segunbari Tiniali, Margherita to Lafiqul Islam Ahmed, president of ABMSU who was  brutally shot dead by unidentified assailants in Kokrajhar town on Tuesday.

Abdul Motin, president of All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad Margherita subdivision committee and Moinur Haq Talukdar, central committee leader of All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad said that Lafiqul Islam was a dymic leader of Assam whose untimely death was a big loss to society and the State. Moinur Haq Taluldar warned political parties not to do dirty politics in this matter and demanded CBI enquiry.
