Tributes Paid to Pulwama Martyrs in Arunachal

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday paid tributes to the 44 CRPF martyrs of the Pulwama suicide attack.

Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra, along with Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his Cabinet colleagues, paid homage to the martyrs by observing two-minute silence at Indira Gandhi Park here where the 33rd Statehood Day was observed.

Addressing the people on the occasion of Statehood Day, the Governor condemned the suicide attack and said the sacrifice of the martyrs would not go in vain.

“The supreme sacrifice made by our jawans will be a source of inspiration for the people of the country in their fight against terrorism,” Dr Mishra said.

The Governor called upon the people of the State to take a pledge for promoting human dignity, unity and fraternity, besides preserving and maintaining their cultural heritage and remain attached to the roots for posterity.”
