‘TRIHMS to function from current session’

Itanagar, June 8: The Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS) at Naharlagu near here, which is likely to start its academic session from August this year, is soon going to fulfill the dream of having first super specialty hospital-cum-medical college in the State, Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang said.

Libang inspected various sites including completed wards, library, laboratory, administrative blocks, mortuary, dissection room, cancer unit, anatomy branch, physiology, nursing school, hostels for boys and girls and OPD to take stock of the ongoing progress along with officers of his department.

He also met the patients and inquired about their wellbeing.

While interacting with officials, he directed them to ensure the quality of work and update the higher authorities regarding progress of work.

TRIHMS director Dr Moji Jini said almost all requirements to make the college functional are nearing completion, particularly to begin the new academic session.

While interacting with the faculty members, Libang said it was a dream to have a good hospital with all facilities and the medical college is also equally important.

He exhorted all to turn it into a temple of learning to benefit the students who will serve the humanity and assured his support for effective functioning of the college. He requested the faculty to guide the department about technical aspects for greater interest of TRIHMS.

Expressing his satisfaction over the works of M/s Kenge Construction, he hoped that the tempo would continue without affecting the academic atmosphere. He also had interaction with builder Ha Tatu who conveyed his commitment to execute while ensuring quality work.
