Trimool Congress is a 'transit camp', says Tripura CPI(M)

Agartala, March 22 : Bijon Dhar, secretary of the CPI(M) Tripura state committee described Trimool Congress in Tripura as a ‘transit camp’ where frustrated Congressman stay for some time before taking decision about their fil destition. He was indicating towards large scale desertion from Mamata Banerjee’s party going on for last several 
days in different parts of the state. Most of them had deserted Congress earlier to join Trimool Congress and now again switching over their allegiance. Though most of the TMC deserters going to BJP some of them are joining CPI(M) too. A prominent TMC leader Sujit Pal who unsuccessfully contested twice from Fatikroy constituency joined the CPI(M) on Tuesday in a public meeting at Kumarghat in Unokuti district. Bijon Dhar himself handed over the party flag to him.
A CPI(M) central committee member Mr Dhar urged the disgruntled supporters of Congress and Trimool Congress to choose the right platform who are actually working for the common people. 
‘Don’t step into the trap laid by BJP’, he told them. Describing BJP as commul he said they are trying to create division among the people in the me of religion which will cause long term damage to  this country and the society. He said the utter failure of the Congress has paved the way for present upsurge of the BJP in the country and said left is the only altertive before the people. ‘Time has come to realise this fact’, he said. He accused the NDA government for discrimiting between the states ruled by BJP and other opposition political parties.
