Tripartite talks with ABSU and movement group deferred

KOKRAJHAR, April 25: The tripartite talks with the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) and its movement groups like tiol Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB-Progressive) and People’s Joint Action Committee for Boroland Movement (PJACBM), which was scheduled to be held on Tuesday in New Delhi, has been deferred by a day. Talking to this correspondent from New Delhi, the general secretary of the ABSU, Lawrence Islary said the tripartite talks with ABSU and its allied organizations had been delayed by a day due to some uvoidable circumstances. He said the date had been deferred by a day and talk would be held on Wednesday at 11 am. He said the leaders of ABSU, NDFB (P) and PJACBM were in New Delhi for talks. He also hoped that the talks would be productive and would evolve the way for solution of the long-pending Bodoland statehood demand.
