Tripura ADC launches Cherai Shak Hamcrai project for malnourished children

Agartala, April 25: Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council is going to launch a new project Cherai Shak Hamcrai to give special treatment and nourishment to the malnourished children aged between ‘0’ to five years of age.  The decision was taken in a meeting presided over by the Chief Executive Member Radha Charan Debbarma in the head quarter of the TTAADC at Khumlung. Executive member for Social Welfare & Social Education department Sadhya Rani Chakma and other senior officials were present in the meeting. Mr Debbarma said they have identified 372 malnourished children in the TTAADC area. They and their mother’s will be brought under this project. As per the project Rs 7,000 will be spent for each child. Apart from necessary treatment healthy food and cloths will be given to the child and the mother will get Rs 100 per day.
