Tripura assembly session to begin from September 22

Agartala, Sept 20: The session of the Tripura assembly beginning from September 22 will continue till September 26. However, the session will assemble for three days as there will be no session on Saturday and Sunday. The business advisory committee that met on Monday decided that on the first day no usual business will be transacted barring paying condolence to departed MLA Samir Deb Sarkar. Speaker Ramendra Kumar th said that there will be no bill in this session barring endorsement of the Goods and Service Tax bill which has already been passed in parliament and obtained president’s assent to become an act. “The six MLA’s who recently crossed over to Trimool Congress will sit in a separate bench and allocation of seats has already been filised,” the speaker said. However, this time there will be no leader of opposition in the house as none of the parties are having required number of 10 MLA’s. Meanwhile, the Trimool Congress MLA Ashish Saha has been appointed as chairman of the Public accounts committee.
