Tripura Biodiversity Board launches project to link conservation to economic concerns

Agartala, March 18: The Tripura Biodiversity Board on Wednesday formally launched a project to link conservation and sustaible utilisation of bio-resources with the livelihood and economic concerns of the owners through access benefit sharing. The project, which aims to strengthen the implementation of the Biodiversity Act and its rules, was launched by Principal Chief Conservator of Forest S Talukdar at the Pragnya Bhavan here. The project also aims to create awareness amongst the various stakeholders with respect to the real economic values of bio-resources. (ANI)
